Stumpf Fine Art - established in 1990, offers two services to customers - a specialised consultancy service and a fine art gallery.
Specialised consultancy service
- international sourcing of fine arts, especially Asian arts, for private clients, as well as for the corporate, hospitality and public sectors.
- advising on the selection of the appropriate art works to complement interior decoration and exterior settings.
We work closely with our customers to tailor the outcome to their specified needs and budget, in order to achieve a distinctive mood and image.
Fine art gallery
We have been promoting contemporary Chinese paintings by artists in mainland China since inception. We were thus intimately involved in the fascinating evolution of Chinese paintings that took place in the last decade of the 20th century.
In the beginning, the Gallery promoted the beautiful and graceful works of traditional Chinese ink artists. As China became more open and Chinese artists more exposed to Western culture, ink paintings began to incorporate Western concepts of colour, space and depth. This led to a mixture of East-West paintings, and by the end of the nineties Chinese oil paintings came into prominence. During the course of this evolutionary change, the Gallery has been in the forefront in promoting paintings by well-known as well as experimental artists. Our mission is to continue to look for outstanding contemporary Chinese artists, and to make their works known to connoisseurs and art lovers all over the world.
Currently, the Gallery carries and represents the works of more than twenty Chinese artists working in different media and materials - from oil to ink and colours, and from canvas to paper.
